Introduction

Thank you for using LiveFishing / Fishing Log - Weather Moon App. This policy explains what data is processed by the mobile application, the LiveFishing map, the MyCatchCalendar website, and related cloud services.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The fishing diary features primarily store user-created content on your own device:

• Fishing and catch diary entries, notes, dates, species and catch details.
• Photos saved through the application.
• GPS coordinates and location names used for catch locations and weather queries.
• Local preferences, language settings and acceptance state for notices.

Where applicable, local data is protected with application-level encryption. You control local diary content from within the app and by removing the app from your device.

Cloud Data and Account Features

Some features use a secure cloud backend (Supabase, EU-hosted):

• Account profile data received from Google or Facebook sign-in, such as name, email address and profile photo.
• LiveFishing session data, including title, description, session status, duration, shared catch entries, stream URL, approximate map position and related timestamps.
• Social features such as follows, notification preferences, reactions, reports and moderation records.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens used to send push notifications about followed anglers or live sessions, where enabled.

We do not receive or store your Google or Facebook password. We do not sell personal data.

LiveFishing Map, Public Visibility and User Content

When you start or share a LiveFishing session, selected session data may become visible to other users, followers or map viewers. This can include display name, session title, shared catch information, live/replay state, stream link and approximate session location. You can end or delete your own sessions from the app.

You must have the consent of every identifiable person appearing in content you share. Content involving minors requires documented consent from a parent or legal guardian and may be removed immediately if reported as a child-safety or privacy risk.

YouTube and Social Video Collection

The LiveFishing map may also show external fishing-related videos collected from public sources. These may include public YouTube videos and public social posts or videos from platforms such as TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.

External videos are discovered through public APIs, RSS feeds, search results, platform embed/link capabilities, and collection providers such as Apify. We do not re-upload, copy or host the video files. We process only the metadata required to find, classify and display the item, such as:

• platform name, public video/post URL, embed URL and external identifier;
• public title, description, hashtags, channel/page/account name, author display name and publication date;
• thumbnail or preview image URL provided by the original platform;
• public captions, transcript snippets or text metadata when available;
• estimated language, fishing topic, location/waterbody match, coordinates and confidence score;
• collection source, search keyword, moderation status, report/removal status and technical diagnostics.

Locations for external videos may be estimated from public text, hashtags, known venues, channel context or automated enrichment. They may be approximate and are used only to place fishing-related public content on the map.

AI and Automated Enrichment

We may use automated processing and AI services, including Google Gemini, to enrich fishing videos and app features. This may include language detection, topic classification, fishing relevance checks, location/waterbody matching, duplicate detection, moderation assistance, summaries and user-requested AI help for catch-related commands.

AI output is used to assist product functionality and moderation; it may be reviewed, corrected or overridden. We do not use your private diary entries for advertising profiling.

Use of Data

We process data to:

• operate the fishing diary, weather, moon phase, pressure and catch calendar features;
• provide account, LiveFishing, map, follow, notification and moderation features;
• display public fishing videos and related map clusters;
• protect users, handle reports and remove unlawful or privacy-infringing content;
• serve and configure in-app advertising where enabled;
• maintain security, diagnostics and service reliability.

Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In and Facebook Login - authentication.
• Supabase - cloud database, authentication support, storage, scheduled jobs and Edge Functions.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging - push notification delivery.
• Google AdMob - in-app advertising and ad delivery.
• Google Gemini / Google AI services - AI enrichment and user-requested AI features.
• YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram - original platforms for public video/post links and embeds.
• Apify - public social search/collection provider for supported platforms.
• open-meteo.com and OpenWeatherMap - weather-related data.
• Cloudflare Pages - hosting of the MyCatchCalendar website and static configuration files.

Advertising

The app may show banner, interstitial or rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Ad availability can be controlled by a remote configuration file. Google may process device identifiers and ad-related signals according to its own policies. We do not sell your personal data.

Data Storage, Security and Transfers

All network traffic is sent over HTTPS. Supabase Row-Level Security limits access to cloud data so users can access their own private records and only the data intentionally made public or shared. Some third-party services may process data outside your country according to their own infrastructure and data transfer safeguards.

Retention

• Local diary data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Account and cloud data is retained while your account is active and is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period after deletion request, unless legal, security or abuse-prevention obligations require longer retention.
• Public external video metadata may be refreshed, hidden, removed or minimized when it becomes unavailable, irrelevant, reported or no longer needed.
• Moderation, report and minor-safety records may be retained as needed for compliance, safety and dispute handling.

Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data-protection laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above.

Children and Minors

We do not knowingly process personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Users under 18 need parental or guardian consent for social and public sharing features. Content featuring identifiable minors without valid guardian consent is prohibited and may be hidden or removed immediately.

Removal Requests for Public Videos and Embeds

If you are a rights holder, the original creator, the account owner, or an identifiable person affected by a listed public video, you may request removal from the LiveFishing map using the report/removal function in the app or by email. Approved requests remove the item from LiveFishing lists and map results; they do not remove the original content from the external platform.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, in the application notice.
